Parties in the Park is group organized to provide events for the community held in Wayside Park. The group has been providing functions for the Western Wayne, upper Lackawanna County, and Susquahanna County area, for over 13 years.

Past events have included; Halloween Parties, Tree Trimming Parties, Holiday Bonfires, also the Crystal Band, Old Time Fiddlers, THE BLOCK PARTY,  and Waystock have brought the park to life.
